Apophyllite occurs as a secondary mineral in basic volcanic rocks. Usually the shades vary from white to pale green crystals. The tops of the crystals form small pyramids which appear reflective. Some have lots of rainbow inclusions. The most well knows area for Apophyllite is Northern India but they can also be found in Northern Scotland.
